Radfield Home Care Ltd
Organisation type: Private
Radfield Home Care is an award winning, family run company with over 30 years of experience in providing care to the elderly and we have built up an outstanding reputation in all the areas that we work.
Radfield Home Care is owned and run by Dr Hannah MacKechnie, a qualified GP, and her brother Alex Green who has a background working in the charitable sector.
Our ethos is to care for our clients how we would wish our loved ones to be cared for and we are certain that you will find us to be extremely caring, friendly, professional and responsive in all that we do.
We specialise in providing care to elderly clients in their own homes.
We provide services to enable people to live independently at home for as long as possible and we find that many clients who start by having a small amount of care such as assistance with shopping and help around the house remain able to live at home for longer.
For clients who need more support we provide all personal care services including moving and handling, catheter care, stoma care and a full medication service including administration of all types of medicines.
We look after many clients with dementia in varying stages and enable them to remain in their own home. All of our carers are thoroughly trained in dementia care and we can help family carers by providing personal care, respite breaks and/or companionship to client’s with dementia and we have a range of activities and reminiscence items that our carers can use to engage with clients depending on what they enjoy doing.
Why Choose Radfield Home Care?
Our carers are very carefully recruited and we say no to more applicants than we employ. That is because we are looking for people with the right values and who will fit into the Radfield Home Care way of working. All of our carers undertake the Care Certificate prior to working independently with our clients and we have a thorough programme of ongoing training to ensure our carers are up to date with all of the latest guidance and best practice.
We are strong believers in advocacy and many elderly people, especially if their family live away, may need someone to advocate on their behalf and to look out for their best interests especially if they have to go into hospital. All of our carers are trained in the Mental Capacity Act and we support many of our clients by being advocates for them or assisting them to appoint an Independent Advocate where appropriate.
We have won awards for our service and we are particularly proud of winning the Dignity and Respect award and have recently been shortlisted for a Customer Champion award for our customer service see our website for more information.
Our service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and our latest inspection report is available to view here http://www.cqc.org.uk/location/1-199476591
We are passionate about providing the best standards of care and this shows in every aspect of the service that we provide. We take pride in being a highly responsive service and will act on any issues immediately and are continually reviewing the care that we provide to our clients and involving family members to ensure that we are meeting their needs in the best way possible.
If you want peace of mind knowing that your loved ones will be well cared for then you have come to the right place.
