Carers Emergency Card
If you look after someone, the Carers Emergency Card has been designed with you in mind.
The idea is very simple. You carry the bright yellow credit card sized card with you and should you have an accident or be taken ill it will immediately let people know that someone is depending on you.
The card instructs the finder to ring the emergency line telephone number at Redditch Lifeline which is staffed 24 hours a day with given them the details on the card.
The Lifeline staff will hold the information you hve given on your application form. They will immediately know who to contact and what to do in an emergency.
The person you care for can also be issued with a card. This will provide you with the added peace of mind that, should they get into difficulties, help will be at hand.
A larger card can be issued if required for either the carer or cared for. It is important that we know that the people you name as your Emergency Contacts (whether friends, neighbours or relatives) agree to being called upon in the event of an emergency. Please make sure they sign the application form before you return it to us.
If you would like to apply for the card please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, visit www.carersworcs.org.uk/carer-resources/carers-emergency-card.html or give us a call on 0300 012 4272.
