Worcestershire County Council provides services for people and local communities including social care services for adults and children. The day-to-day work of the Council often involves collecting and using information about the people whom we provide services to and with whom we work.
We will record personal information if you:
- register on Your Life Your Choice as a user or provider
- report a fault and give your contact details for us to respond
- contact us and leave your details for us to respond
In many normal circumstances we will ask your consent to use your personal information. However, there are some situations where the law requires us to use information without your consent.
Where services are not provided directly by the Council it may be necessary to pass your personal data to organisations contracted to provide those services. These organisations will be authorised to act for the Council, and must also comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.
